WACC 2019 Board Responsibilities

Welcome to the Woodburn area business community!

The following are some guidelines for new (and returning) WACC Board members:

-All nominees must be a WACC member business or other organization in good standing.

-Terms are for three (3) years, beginning on the 1 January 2019, with renewal possible for three (3) additional years, including opportunity to serve as part of Board leadership.

-Board members should attend ¾ or 9 of 12 regular Board meetings (3rd Wednesday each month, 7:30 – 9:00am).

-Help shape the next steps of a growing business association by getting involved. Your time commitment can be variable but at least 1.5 hours for monthly meetings. You can also represent the Board by attending Chamber and member-hosted events and through committee work.

-Board members choose to participate on one (1) WACC committee according to needs of the Chamber and interests/skills of the individual:

Marketing & Communications
Events & Sponsorship
Membership
Elections
Tourism

-Board members are encouraged to meet our Chamber members. Conversations can lead to new ideas, partnerships, and investments, helping grow member businesses and extending WACC’s influence throughout our area business community.
