It is with a heavy heart we mourn the passing of an amazing citizen of the world and former Executive Director of the Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce Harry Lee Kwai.
Harry had a long history with the Chamber which is summed up by long time Chamber Member Bob Rhoades;
“Harry Lee Kwai started working for Datavision in the early 2000’s and part of his job was to meet business owners and tell them about fiber optics for the internet coming to the Woodburn area. Datavision was being very aggressive in their investment of laying fiber optic cable whenever there was an open trench during Woodburn’s building boom. Harry got involved with the Woodburn Area Chamber of Commerce as part of his job and partnered with the leadership to create what we now know as “Greeters”. He was the first emcee and interviewed new and established buinesses to showcase their locations and industry on Friday mornings. After retirement he led the Chamber as Executive Director. Harry will be remembered as someone who brought people together to accomplish wonderful things. His laugh and infectious smile will live in hearts for years to come.
